Black Dog Auto Body About section: At Black Dog Auto Body our mission is to provide the restoration and classic car/truck communities with expert service and finest quality paint jobs. Using the most up to date products and procedures to give you a paint job that will last a life time. We can tackle everything from frame on to frame off restorations complete down to the last nut and bolt. Our shop uses only the highest quality paints from PPG, Lesonal, and Tamco. These companies offer a wide variety colors and finishes. Black Dog Auto Body was started in October of 2012. Started out doing collision and rust repair. We were the new guys on the block and word quickly spread about the quality work and customer service our shop was providing. We did everything that no one else wanted to do and provided us a great customer base to work from. Now we are focusing on providing award winning paint and restoration jobs. So we shifting gears and heading to the top and not looking back. We are a Veteran owed and run business. Clinton Maurer the founder and owner, served in the U.S Army from 2002 till 2009 as a paratrooper out of Ft. Bragg NC. Enlisting as a Radio Operator Maintainer, he deployed once to Iraq and three times to Afghanistan. Upon exiting the Army in 2009 he worked as civilian for the government and returned to the war zone in Afghanistan and worked for another three years to help fund the starting of the business you see here today. Long hours, hard work, and sacrifice are nothing new to this man and this is what will set us apart from every other shop. Scope of work: Here at Black Dog Auto Body these are the following services offered: Complete paint jobs from early to late model vehicles, tractors, boats, ski dos. This is not your local Macco paint job. Frame on restorations (all body panels are stripped to bare metal and then brought back to show room finish) Frame off restorations (all body panels are stripped to bare metal and then brought back to show room finish. Frame is blasted and painted or powder coated) Suspension upgrades (lowering, lift kits, and protouring suspension packages) Brake upgrades Exhaust repairs and upgrades Collison services offered to classic and restored vehicles (expert repairs and color matching for your classic vehicle) Expert paint correction and detailing. Underbody and engine bay detailing Wheel Refinishing and painting Installation of Vintage AC systems Installation of Glass (We have a local glass company that we have been working with for the last 4 years) Spray on bedliner material for wheel wells, trunk floors, and truck beds. (We use products from Speedliner and Raptor for color match liners and US Linings for the Black bedliner Interior work and vinyl tops are outsourced to a local upholstery shop PDR (Paintless Dent Repair) services( This is outsourced to local professional who we have been dealing with for over 4 years) Engine, Transmission, and rear axle rebuilds are sent to a local mechanical shop so there will be a warranty with the rebuild Air Brush work and custom pin striping/lettering are sourced through an artist’s that we have dealt with for the past two years.
